Posted4 July, 2020 (edited) For Petrol Tsi, the workshop manual clearly states inspect at 240K km and every 30K km after. No replacement times/years listed. The waterpump is separate to the cambelt, at the other end of the engine, with a separate belt - same inspection interval.
Hadthe timing belt replaced on the 1.6 CR TDi Octavia (engine type code CLHA), rather than attempt myself on the drive in the rain. On Tuesday 30 Jun, by my local trusted Independent.
